Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective date: 10 September 2026
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to eBooks and other digital content purchased from WriteWave Books at shop.writewaveco.com. The Website is operated by WRITEWAVE PRIVATE LIMITED.
1. Digital Delivery
Our products are delivered digitally. After successful payment confirmation, access may be provided through your registered Account, a download link, email or another method shown at checkout. No physical shipment is involved. Delivery is considered complete when the file or access right is made available to you.
2. Cancellation Before Delivery
If payment has not been completed or digital access has not yet been issued, contact us immediately. We will make reasonable efforts to cancel the order. Because delivery may be automated and immediate, cancellation cannot be guaranteed once payment is confirmed.
3. General Rule After Access
Due to the nature of digital products, orders are generally final and non-refundable once an eBook has been downloaded, opened, accessed or made available to the customer. Digital files cannot be physically returned, and access cannot always be fully withdrawn. This rule does not limit any refund or remedy that must be provided under applicable law.
4. When a Refund May Be Approved
We may approve a full or partial refund where our review confirms one of the following:
- You were charged more than once for the same order.
- Payment was successfully taken but no order or digital access was created.
- A persistent technical fault on our side prevents access and we cannot restore it within a reasonable period.
- The delivered file is corrupted and we cannot provide a working replacement.
- The title supplied is materially different from the product ordered.
- The transaction is unauthorised and verified through our fraud-review process.
- A refund is required by applicable consumer law or directed by a competent authority.
We may first offer a replacement file, corrected access or reasonable technical assistance where that will fully resolve the issue.
5. Situations Normally Not Eligible
- Change of mind, loss of interest or accidental purchase after digital access has been provided.
- Dissatisfaction based only on personal taste, writing style, cover variation or content that was reasonably described before purchase.
- Failure to check the title, author, language, edition, format or stated technical requirements.
- Device, software, storage, email, network or internet problems outside our reasonable control, where the supplied file is working and compatible with the stated requirements.
- Loss caused by sharing credentials, deleting a downloaded file or failing to maintain access to the registered Account or email address.
- A request based on an eBook obtained, copied or distributed in breach of our Terms.
6. How to Request a Refund
Submit a request within 7 calendar days of purchase by emailing business@writewaveco.com with the subject “Refund Request”. Include:
- Your full name and registered email address.
- Order number, purchase date and transaction reference.
- Book title and a clear explanation of the problem.
- Relevant screenshots, error messages or proof of duplicate payment.
- The resolution you are requesting.
Do not send passwords, one-time passwords, complete card information, UPI PINs or bank-login credentials. Late requests may still be considered where required by law or where circumstances reasonably prevented earlier notice.
7. Review and Response
We aim to acknowledge a complete request within 48 hours and usually review it within 7 working days. We may ask for further information, verify the transaction with a payment provider or attempt to restore access before deciding the request. The decision and proposed resolution will be sent to your registered email address.
8. Approved Refunds
Approved refunds are normally sent to the original payment method. We generally initiate the refund within 7 to 10 business days after approval; the final credit time depends on your bank or payment provider. Transaction fees or currency differences outside our control may affect the amount received, except where law requires otherwise.
9. Failed or Delayed Access
If you cannot access a purchased eBook, first confirm that payment succeeded, check the Account used for the order and review spam or junk folders. Contact us with the order number if access remains unavailable. We may reissue a link, restore Account access, provide a replacement file or approve a refund where the issue is attributable to us and cannot be resolved.
10. Technical Requirements
You are responsible for using a compatible device, application and internet connection. Product pages may state formats or system requirements. Contact us before purchase if you are unsure whether a title will work with your device.
11. Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can investigate promptly. We may suspend access associated with a reversed or disputed payment while the matter is reviewed. Fraudulent refund requests, misuse of downloaded content or false payment disputes may result in Account restriction and other action permitted by law.
12. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or replaces rights and remedies that cannot be waived under applicable Indian consumer law. Where this Policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, that requirement will apply.
13. Contact and Escalation
Email business@writewaveco.com, call 88978354, or use our Contact Us page. Unresolved complaints may be escalated under our Grievance and Contact Policy.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect legal, technical or business changes. The revised version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
